Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in Texas has hired another staffer with just over a month until the state's Democratic primary.

Carlos Sanchez, who most recently served as chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro of San Antonio, is joining Clinton's efforts in Texas as press secretary, according to a campaign official.

Before joining Castro's office, Sanchez was press secretary for U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and worked for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Overseeing the Clinton campaign in Texas is Carlos Paz Jr., a community activist from Houston. Clinton's campaign admitted last week that its efforts in the state have been lagging.
